Laugh or You're Dead (Full Release)

Our release/bugfix update is out now!
You are a treasure hunter who was separated from their group. Not willing to leave empty-handed, you need to grab enough loot before you can take the lift out of the cave. This cave, however, houses a creature known as the Grin Reaper.
Avoid the creature and grab enough loot to win. If you get caught, the creature will laugh and tell a horrible joke. Should you laugh at its joke, while mimicking its laugh cadence, it will enter a laughing fit and give you a short amount of time to escape.
Note: This was made for the Global Game Jam 2024. It is the first game we have made. We have made some bug fixes and added a few new features but do not currently have plans for future content (we are working on a new game). We hope you enjoy what we were able to come up with in 48 hours! Donations are not expected, and any donations will go towards our college tuitions and rent.

This game is no laughing matter (hah, had to put a cringe joke here, obviously) 😅
The game is full of surprises. It is super unique, immersive with not much to do, but the AI is indubitable a shocker - superb job on the game. Although, I did have a little lag here and there before the monster showed up first time, but then it went smooth from there.

Love the creativity with the theme. I was able to escape the cave and the horrible jokes! Very fun game, great choice on the art style too.
